Agile development in Poland

The idea of Agile Development comes from a movement that was formed in the early twenty-first century. In 2001 a group of implementation specialist from the USA announced the so-called Agile Software Development Manifesto. It was the beginning of a completely innovative approach in pursuing complex  IT projects.

Through this work we have come to value:

Individuals and interactions over processes and tools,
Working software over comprehensive documentation,
Customer collaboration over contract negotiation,
Responding to change over following a plan.

That is, while there is value in the items on the right, we value the items on the left more.

Noteworthy, the Manifesto requires fulfilling all the values at the same time. There is no “agility” if the work of the team lacks one of the the above-mentioned elements. A software, that was made in collaboration with a client, isn’t “ready” until we provide a safe work environment and freedom to respond to emerging issues within the team.

Agile Development at eVolpe Software House

At eVolpe Software House, we believe that Agile Development is the key to the efficient operation and delivery of the best product possible. We strongly endorse the words of one of the Agile Manifesto signatories, Martin Fowler, who said:

For us agile methods are the way we like to work, but not really the essence of what we’re about. If we discover a better way to work, we’d adopt it. It’s just that, thus far, agile methods seem the best way for us to build useful software.

The priority of Agile Development is customer’s satisfaction. This overarching goal shouldn’t be left out at any stage of the implementation. At eVolpe Software House, we make sure that our clients are regularly given more and more technologically advanced solutions. It is the working software that is a measure of our success (see: scrum).

An important aspect of the Agile Development is also to create a motivating work environment for employees. To ensure this goal, we have introduced the principle of direct communication. At eVolpe Software House, we recognize that commitment to the personal form of communication increases chances of mutual understanding and detection of possible errors. Through regular analysis of undertaken activities – in a natural way – we also increased EFFICIENCY OF OUR TEAM!
